Short-Term Mission Team
This team will strategize how to make the most of our short-term mission trips – considering our current team preparation, creating new leader training as well as debriefing for our short-term mission teams. They will have both a local and global focus. They will construct local mission trip opportunities, such as an urban plunge in Santa Ana, as well as international short-term mission trips. They will consider our current outreach destinations deciding if we should expand our short-term trips to new places around the globe. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Betty Christiansen
Education Team
The focus of the Education Team is to impart general knowledge, to increase awareness and understanding of both local and global issues to all ages at Trinity. Consideration will be given to creating educational series on various topics to raise awareness of what God is doing through his Church around the world. This team will also focus on organizing an Alternative Christmas Market encouraging gift giving that benefits the poor and needy. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Donell Peck
Justice Team
This team will focus on local and global justice related issues. The team will collectively decide which justice issues in which to focus. They desire to be advocates for the voiceless in the areas such as human trafficking, child slavery and/or HIV/AIDS. Discussion and advocacy strategies for our congregation will be explored in this group. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Bruce Boyer
Stewardship Team
Within the past two years we have been able to assist our mission partners with emergency medical costs, the purchase of medical equipment, repairs to storm damaged homes, and year-end gifts. We have also been able to assist numerous Trinity members to participate in short-term mission opportunities, and assist in the first publication of the Bible in a newly translated Russian dialect. This team will apply faithful stewardship of our Trinity mission resources. The Stewardship Team will also be responsible for approving specific designated offerings. Recently, these offerings have been used to further the literacy effort amongst the Suri in Ethiopia, assist with earthquake victims in Haiti, and aid the ministries of World Vision and International Justice Mission. Also as prospective Missionaries seek Trinity’s partnership, the Stewardship Team will assist in determining whether their ministry focus is in line with Trinity’s goals and determining how much support the new ministry will receive. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Larry Forcey
Ethiopia Suri Team
This team will foster ongoing partnerships with our Ethiopia mission partners. They will invest in outreach efforts to the Suri who until recently were an unreached people group in the Southwest corner of Ethiopia. They appeal to the needs of the Ethiopian people who we partner with. This team will focus on helping create a better living environment for Ethiopians, helping women with health issues, providing clean water, as well as building projects. In addition, they serve as liaisons to our missionaries serving in Ethiopia. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Giny Roundy
Missionary Care Team
This team will provide small group support, hospitality, focused prayer, encouragement and care for our Trinity missionaries who serve around the globe. This team will come alongside our missionaries who are home on furlough possibly assisting with transportation needs, housing and overall care during their visit. They will help raise awareness and exposure of our missionaries to wider church body through setting up opportunities for them to speak to the congregation in Adult Sunday School classes, children’s and youth classes and/or special events. Each member on this team will serve as a liaison for designated missionaries to correspond, pray for and encourage them in their particular ministry context. For more information, please contact our new team leader: Dennis Wahlquist
