Romania Outreach
An inside look at Trinity's involvement with Romania
Then I heard the voice
of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go
for us?" And I said, "Here am I; send me!"

Family Sponsorship
 |
It began as a partnership, turned into a relationship and now is
a wonderful friendship! When we made our first trip in 2000 to Romania,
we never knew how fast our love for the country and people would
grow… it is now 2006 and we have taken over 34 people to visit the
country on 5 different Short Term Mission trips and God has taught
us how to love and encourage our Christian brothers and sisters
in Romania just like family.
In August 2000 Sandy Pauley and Marie Chichester, members of Trinity's
World Mission Ministry Team took a group of 12 people to Romania
to research and learn about the World Vision's Family Sponsorship
program. After visiting many of the families in Cluj, Romania who
would be participants in the program, Sandy and Marie came home
as advocates for the program, sharing their stories with their friends
and families at Trinity. By 2002 Trinity was sponsoring over 80
families in the Cluj area, living on less than a dollar a day.
Family Sponsorship helps families learn how to become self-sustaining
through supporting families in the areas of health care, spiritual
involvement, education, economic development and community spirit.
Letters are written and exchanged between the family that is sponsored
and the sponsorship family. God is using Trinity members to change
and transform lives into healthier family environments. Because
of our involvement and support more children are able to stay in
school and live at home. World Vision and Romania Staff feel God
called us to be the hands and feet in His mission field in Romania.
Thank you for helping by supporting this outreach both prayerfully
and financially.
Mission Opportunity
 |
Another area of focus is the opportunity to experience going or
sending members of Trinity on cross cultural trips. Over the last
6 years, World Vision has helped Trinity plan and put together 5
different Short Term Mission trips to Romania.
2000, 2001 and 2004 Teams focused on Family Sponsorship
2002 Leadership training team went to Romania
2006 Vacation Bible School was the focus
These trips have allowed 34 Trinity members to experience first
hand how God can use us to serve His people and plant seeds in the
lives of many who are lost or hopeless. It has helped countless
members learn how valuable prayer support is for missionaries and
that a personal visit is one of the most encouraging ways to show
God's love.
Spiritual Outreach
Always our main focus is to share the Good News that Jesus Christ
is our Lord and Savior. Because we are partnering with a Christian
organization we have been given this opportunity on many different
occasions. Families are able to share their love of Christ in their
correspondence with families they sponsor. When we are on trips
we pray with all the families we visit, we have devotions with staff
members and on our most recent trip we had 5 days of Vacation Bible
School in which we ministered and shared with 45 children, parents
and staff.

Next Generation Missionary
In a “me” focused generation of young people, Trinity
feels very strong about supporting the next generation who is
considering a life of Servanthood. Trinity sees the value of training
them to be God’s people and servants world wide. When our
day arrives; we hope God will be able to say, “Well done
good and faithful servant”. And Trinity would like to know
they were part of the nurturing and supporting body behind those
willing to hear and heed God’s call to serve cross culturally.
To date we have supported 15 high school/college students to test
the waters as missionaries in Romania or the world.
