Short Term Missions Summer 2008 Youth World Ecuador June 19-27, 2008 Leaders: Matt and Terry Bell Approx. cost: $2,200, includes airfare World Vision Romania July 24 - August 5, 2008 Leaders: Sandy Pauley Approx. cost: $2,800 - $3,100, includes airfare Habitat for Humanity Romania August 1 - 17, 2008 Leaders: Charlie Walker & Dwight Bletscher Approx. cost: $3,500 - $3,700, includes airfare The deadline for the application is March 2, 2008 Youth World Ecuador This is Trinity's first trip with one of our newest mission partners, Chet and Katie Williams, of Youth World International. The Williams have a passion to help short term teams receive the maximum exposure to the diverse cultures, mission groups and the national evangelical movement in Ecuador. Our time will be spent in breathtaking Quito, the capital city located high in the Andes at 9,300 ft, 15 miles south of the equator. There will be opportunity for hands-on ministry in a wide variety of settings -- from engaging in a ministry of compassion among those in day care centers and orphanages to running a VBS for those who live in the city's garbage dumps. World Vision Romania This 12 day trip start with a flight into Bucharest, Romania. In Cluj, we visit some of our families we sponsor and meet some new families that need sponsorship. Our hosts, World Vision Romania will help us understand who the community works together to build hope and opportunities to be self supporting families. We will have the opportunity to worship at the local church and then travel to Crit Village - the home of the Agricultural Development Learning Center. Habitat for Humanity Romania (Still Open!) This trip starts with a flight into Budepest, Hungary. Habitat for Humanity International's Global Village trips give participants a unique opportunity to become active partners with people of another culture. Trinity team members will work alongside members of our host, the Cluj-Napoca Habitat for Humanity affiliate, raising awareness of the burden of poverty housing, and building decent, affordable housing worldwide. As partners, we will help build a true "global village" of love, homes, communities and hope!
