It's ALL About Christ!

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well."

~Matthew 6:33

The scripture above is a direct quote from Jesus' great Sermon on the Mount. And it's what the leadership of your church began praying about almost two years ago: that we would seek His kingdom and righteousness above everything else, especially with regard to the capital campaign. Our theme is an effort to honor that prayer.

The whole purpose of the campaign is to exalt Jesus Christ.

That's why I'm excited about the theme: "Ignite the Vision. It's All About Christ!" We exist as a church for no other reason than to help fulfill the Great Commission. Therefore, we need to strengthen the foundation of this church for future growth and expansion of our ministries to reach the next generations for Christ. That's what this campaign is all about:

  • To bring more children, youth and families to faith in Christ. A key element to help accomplish this is to continue the Master Plan for the campus by constructing a new Children's Ministry Center. While we havenot yet received enough pledges to proceed with this effort, we are still very hopeful of doing so!

  • To prepare our church campus for growth. Part of the plan is to take care of long-deferred maintenance and renovation. Many of our buildings are nearly 45 years old and need a fresh look and new functionality so we can reach new families for Christ.

  • To focus on Evangelism. Central to igniting the vision is to equip the whole congregation in practical ways to more effectively share the Good News of Jesus Christ in our own backyards. This is a major priority in the Campaign that will have a huge impact on Trinity's future.

  • To strengthen our financial base. The goal is to retire our current $1.6M debt by the end of 2008, so we can move ahead in new ministry without encumbrance and with a solid financial foundation for the future.

  • To underscore our commitment to Global Mission. One of the great strengths of this church is the legacy and commitment to spreading the Good News around the world. A goal of this campaign is to give a substantial portion of our blessings to the mission of the church in global and community outreach.
As Paul said to Timothy: "…fan into flames the gift of God that is within you." My prayer is that you will get excited about how God is calling you to participate in this campaign, because it's all about Christ! It's not too late to pledge and contribute - every contribution will get us closer to our goals and will glorify Christ.
